Governor Bello Matawalle says Zamfara State has not recorded a single attacks by armed bandits or kidnappers in the past four weeks.
Also, 300 kidnapped victims were freed by the bandits without any payment of ransom.
The governor says such development is for the first time in past months.
Matawalle speaking while signing a $1 billion agreement with Africa Export Import Bank in Abuja, adds that no killings has also been recorded in the state during the period.
The governor explains that the peace prevailed because of the negotiations between the state governments, security agencies, communities, and leaders of various armed bandits groups in the state.
Zamfara State, according to the government is now peaceful and safe for investors because of the implementation of the negotiations.
