Governor Bello Maitawale has alerted of the invasion of Zamfara State of some fighters of Boko Haram.
The governor says the terrorists, according to credible intelligence, planned to launched attacks on selected places in the state between September 23 and 25.
Director General of Press Affairs, Yusuf Idris, addressing newsmen in Gusau, alleges that the insurgents were recruited by some disgruntled elements to derail the peace deal with repentant armed bandits.
The insurgents, according to him, plans attacks on Gusau and seven local government areas, and assassinate two important persons in the state within the period.
He names the local government areas, as Tsafe, Talata Mafara, Anka, Zurmi, Mani, and Maradan, as well as the Gusau Central Mosque and Mammy Market of Army Cantonment in Gusau.
