An estimated 1.5 million candidates have registered for the 2018 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The examination, to be conducted by the West African examination council, will kick off with regular subjects on March 28.
WAEC spokesman, Damianus Ojijeogu, said the council is fully ready for the examination, and had deployed logistics nationwide to ensure it is hitch free.
Ojijeogu also said professional examiners and supervisors will be deployed to protect the integrity of the examination.
“We have concluded all arrangements and deployed logistics in every part of the country for the conduct of a hitch-free examination.
“We have also taken cognisance of the upsurge of insecurity in some parts of the country.
“We are working in collaboration with the Federal Government and security agencies to ensure safe and conducive environments for the conduct of the examination.
