President Muhammadu Buhari has proceeded to the UK on a 10-day annual leave.
During his absence Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, will act as the President.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, read Buhari’s letter during the plenary on Thursday January 19.
His special assistant on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, said Buhari while in the UK will undergo routine medical check-up.
Buhari, according to Adesina, will resume duty on February 6.
In June last year, the President also travelled to London for the treatment of ear infection.
