Vitafoam Nigeria Plc has appointed two independent non- Executive Directors and a non-Executive Director, to its board to strengthen its corporate governance for enhanced performance.
The newly appointed Directors whose tenure begins in October are: Professor Rosemary Iviowen Egonmwan, Mohammed Goni Alkali and Gerson Silver.
Egonmwan who is appointed as an independent non-Executive Director, was Senior Environmental Adviser to Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company from 2009–2010, and served on the board of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) from 2012-2016.
She holds a B.Sc Degree and an M.Sc in Zoology from the University of Lagos. She also obtained a D.Phil. in Zoology from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom (UK).
Alkali holds a B.Sc Degree in Accounting from the Bayero University, Kano and an M.Sc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, University of London.
Silver, a Brazilian, is a Chemical Scientist with competency in Polyurethane Systems, a core production component of Vitafoam and Vitapur (a sandwich panels and chemical systems subsidiary of Vitafoam).
