Labour and Employment Minister, Senator Chris Ngige, has called for urgent measures to tackle the rise in unemployment in Nigeria.
The minister, however, says that Buhari administration is tackling the unemployment crisis with various intervention programmes.
Ngige speaking on the unemployment issue, after receiving an award from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu, warns that the unemployment crisis, if not urgently tackled, could cause social unrest.
He says the unemployment crisis is graduating into a big canker worm, which is causing anti-social behaviours.
The minister warns that the rising unemployment in Nigeria if not urgently tackled could consume the country.
