Trump vows to end conflicts in Africa

U.S. President Donald Trump delivers remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, U.S.

US President Donald Trump has vowed to help end “vicious and violent” conflicts on the African continent.

Speaking at a NATO Summit Press Conference in Brussel, the US President said Africa has problems that are so vicious and violent that few people understand.

He promised that his goal is to build up the US military and bring peace to the world.

The US is active in counter-terrorism operations and training African troops to fight Jihadists in the Sahara.

His remarks have drawn some criticism on social media and come seven months after he was alleged to have used the word “shithole” to describe African nation.
