Trial Of Senate President Takes Off At The Code Of Conduct Tribunal

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, says he is satisfied with the take-off of his trial by the code of conduct tribunal for alleged false assets declaration.

Saraki whose trial took off on Tuesday in a statement shortly after is hopeful that he will be vindicated at the end of the trial.

The senate president said he is optimistic that his team of lawyers would prove that the charges levelled against him by the economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) were false.

The trial began after the tribunal’s chairman, Justice Danladi Umar, dismissed an application for adjournment by the Senate President
