Former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State has asked All Progressives Congress leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to quit the party, ahead of the 2019 polls.
Lamido warned that APC leadership will end up using and dumping the former Lagos State governor, if he fails to heed his warning.
Lamido, who is a top leader of PDP, issuing the advice at the Daily Trust Annual Dialogue in Abuja, said Tinubu was sidelined by a cabal in the party until six months ago.
Since after the 2015 polls, Lamido alleged that APC leadership has been using south west governors and ministers to fight Tinubu, until recently when President Muhammadu Buhari started courting him.
Turning to former Lagos state governor Commissioner for Finance, Wale Edun, who represented Bola Tinubu at the event, the former Jigawa state governor said, “Tell Asiwaju that his brother and friend says he is in a wrong party. He will only recover and reintegrate himself as a democrat if he leaves the APC.
‘’Asiwaju has only integrated six months ago. They were using his governors and ministers from south-west to fight him! We know all these, he should leave APC for them.’’Please subscribe to our newsletter
