All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to do more to reduce the level of abject poverty and corruption in Nigeria.
Tinubu commended Buhari administration for laying the foundation for a better Nigeria in the past two years, but said several Nigerians are still battling to survive.
Several Nigerians, according to Tinubu, could not properly feed and clothe their children.
The APC leader, speaking at the public presentation of a book published by Buhari’s media team at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, asked Buhari to use the next few months to introduce measures to bail the majority of the poor nigerians out of poverty.
Although Nigeria is getting out of economic recession, Tinubu said there is the urgent need to increase the growth of the economy to create new jobs.
On corruption Tinubu said Buhari, in his first two years in office, has set an axe to the root of corruption, but more still needs to be done to effectively uproot corruption which, according to him, was institutionalized by the Jonathan administration.
