Three suspected cultists arraigned for armed robbery in Abeokuta

Three suspected cultists have been arraigned before an Abeokuta Magistrate Court for armed robbery.

The accused who are suspected members of Aye Confraternity, include 25-year-old Olawale Yusuf, 28-year-old Adegbite Roqeeb and 35-year-old Ajadi Victor.

The prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Eigbejiale told the court that the accused persons last August 7 in Abeokuta, armed themselves with dangerous weapons and robbed one Titilayo Kareem of her valuables.

The magistrate, Mrs Adeola Adelaja did not take the plea of the accused persons, and ordered them to be remanded at Ibara prison, while the court awaits an advice from the office of state director of public prosecution.

She adjourned the case till January 26, 2018 for bail hearing.
