Three people have died and seven others injured, when an overhead signpost fell on a commercial bus, along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
The incident occurred when a tipper crashed into the overhead signpost, which fell on the commercial bus, parked at a bus stop.
The bus was loading passengers at a bus stop located between Ilasamaja and Itire.
General manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Adesina Tijani, confirmed that three of the passengers died, while seven others were injured.
He said, “Unfortunately, seven victims, four adult female and three adult male, with severe injuries were rescued and stabilised by the Agency’s officials and LASAMBUS and subsequently transferred to Mushin general hospital for treatment, while 3 adult male lost their lives and were later handed over to officials of the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) to be transferred to the mortuary.”Please subscribe to our newsletter
