TASCE students protest unpaid lecturers’ 13 months salaries

A group of students of the Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu Ijebu in Ogun State have staged a protest in Abeokuta, the state capital, over the non payment of salaries to their lecturers.

The protesting students who arrived Abeokuta in buses converged at the Abeokuta secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) at Oke Ilewo, carrying placards.

They claimed that their lecturers have not been paid for the past 14 months.

The students pleaded with Governor Ibikunle Amosun to clear the salary backlog, and save the college from collapse.
