Osun State has been rated as Nigeria’s most peaceful state, as at December 2017, according to a survey.
Kogi State is rated as the second most peaceful state, according to a survey a survey tagged “Nigeria Peace Index (NPI) research project”, conducted by the Foundation for Peace Professionals.
The foundation’s executive director, Ambassador Abdurazak Hamzat, in the report of the survey presented to newsmen in Abuja, explained that Osun and Kogi states are trailed by Ekiti, Kwara and Imo states.
The five least peaceful states, according to him, are Yobe, Kebbi, Bauchi, Zamfara and Sokoto states.
Hamzat explained that the data used for the survey was sourced from Nigeria Bureau of Statistics, as well as, local and international organisations.
