So-Safe Corps Rescue Three Abducted Church Members Near Abeokuta

Ogun state security outfit, So-Safe Corps, has rescued three kidnapped members of a Celestial Church of Christ abducted by gunmen at Obada Oko, near Abeokuta, the state capital.

The rescued abducted church members were heading for a night vigil last Friday, at a church located at Iwokun in the axis.

The corps commander, Soji Ganzallo told a RockcityFM correspondent Yemi Eniola that, his men have been combing the forest in Obada Oko since they received a distress call on the kidnapped victims.

According to him, his men later found the kidnappers hideout and engaged them in a gun battle, during which one of the so safe officers received two bullet injuries on his laps.

Ganzalo said the kidnappers also sustained gunshot injuries.

The corp’s spokesman, Moruf Yusuf in a statement said one of them was rescued last Sunday and the remaining two yesterday.

He recalls that, the same church was also raided by gunmen last June, during which a worshipper was abducted.
