A Governorship Aspirant from the Ogun west, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly called ‘Yayi’, has finally quit Ogun state 2019 governorship race.
Rockcity fm news was told that the senator took the critical decision, following the reconciliation of Governor Ibikunle Amosun with Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The reconciliation, according to a top APC leader, is to ensure unity in the rank of the party in the state, ahead of the 2019 polls, in which President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking re-election.
Following the decision, the senator has shifted his political focus from Ogun state to Lagos state, where he is representing the Lagos west senatorial district in the senate.
Most of his political associates and supporters had since moved into Ogun state PDP and African Democratic Congress, while others remain within APC fold.
Before his exit from Ogun state governorship race, Adeola had been working with a governorship aspirant, Prince Gboyega Isiaka to actualize the quest of the Ogun west to produce the state’s new governor in 2019 .
The working relationship between them broke down, after Isiaka abandoned the deal and moved to ADC, to singularly pursue his 2019 governorship agenda.
