The senate is to hold a special session on Monday, next week, to consider and pass the 2021 appropriation bill
The bill was initially scheduled for consideration and passage on Wednesday, but shifted at the last minute
Senate president, Ahmad Lawan, announced the shift in the date during the Wednesday plenary
He says the decision was taken to accommodate new items of expenditure just forwarded to the National Assembly in the appropriation bill Lawan directs the finance and appropriation committee to accommodate the fresh items of expenditure in the bill to be presented to the senators on Monday, next week
