The Senate again failed to consider the 2017 appropriation bill on Wednesday
The appropriation committee is scheduled to present its report on the bill before the plenary.
Instead, the Senate leader, Ahmed Lawan, said the committee is still collating the versions of the report.
Lawan said he is optimistic that the report of the bill will be laid before the plenary on Tuesday, next week.
Last week, the committee also failed to lay the report before the Senate, with the chairman, Danjuma Goje, accusing the police of carting away the report during a raid on his home in abuja.
Meanwhile, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu who presided over the Wednesday plenary says the 2016 budget can still be operated by the government till the end of June before the passage of the 2017 budget bill.
