Senate Demands State Of Emergency On Insecurity

The senate has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on the growing insecurity in the country

The senators passed the resolution, following a motion moved by Sani Musa on the Wednesday’s abduction of 42 people, mostly students, from the government’s science college, Kangara in Niger State

Another senator, Sabi Abdulahi says kidnappers and armed bandits are using forests extending from Abuja to Zamfara state as their operational base.

The senate demands the immediate implementation of the report of its adhoc committee on security.
