A former military governor, Retired Colonel Dangiwa Umar, has accused the Buhari administration of lacking the capacity to effectively manage Nigeria’s diversity.
He blames it for the growing separatist agitations, making the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to be relevant in the South East region.
Umar in a statement issued in Kaduna, asks Buhari administration to adopt non violent means to address the agitations, which he largely blamed on the lack of equity, justice, fairness required to build a diversified and fragile Nation like Nigeria.
According to the former military administrator, no section of Nigeria will fare better in a balkanized Nigeria, because the country is recognized as the Giant of Africa due to its size and diversity.
Umar, however, calls for a review of various policies by the Buhari administration that promote unity, sense of belonging by all components of Nigeria.
