Saraki alleges that National Assembly blockade planned for several months

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has said that the National Assembly leadership is aware of the last Tuesday’s blockade by security operatives.

Saraki explained that they got wind of the plan to blockade the National Assembly, several months ago, but believed that those behind it will call it off.

The Senate President, speaking at a news conference in Abuja, commends acting President Yemi Osinbajo, for sacking the Director General of Department of Security Service (DSS), Lawal Daura.

The decision by Osinbajo, according to Saraki, is decisive, and will help to restore confidence in the nation’s democracy.

On the alleged plot by APC to impeach him, Saraki said he will quit as the Senate President, anytime he lost the support of fellow senators.
