*S/West Govs, Myetti Allah To Meet Over Ondo Herders Deadline

All is set for a crucial meeting between the South West Governors and the National Leaders of the Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria

They are meeting in Akure, as the deadline issued by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to herders to vacate forest reserves in Ondo state expired

On Sunday, Jimoh Dojumo, the senior special adviser to governor Akeredolu, had said that the state government will today takes the next step to enforce its deadline to the herders

The Myettti Allah National Leaders had arrived Akure on Sunday, preparatory for the meeting

Akeredolu in the deadline, also banned night grazing of cattle, underage herders, and the movement of cattle within Akure and other towns in the state

Federal government had already criticized the deadline. Saying it violated the constitutional rights of herders in the state Several organizations in the south west region, including Afenifere, Yoruba Council of Elders had backed the issuance of the deadline
