South East States Governors Forum and the Ohanaeze Ndigbo have condemned attacks by members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, in Germany.
Ekweremadu was physically attacked by IPOB members, who attempted to prevent him from attending a cultural and convention organized by Ndigbo community, at Nuremberg on Saturday.
The Governors Forum in a statement by its Chairman, David Umahi, warns IPOB against being hijacked by political opportunists to destroy the south east region.
The governors say, what IPOB should be thinking of, is how to work with the forum and Ohanaeze Ndigbo to actualize the 2023 presidency agenda of Ndigbo.
The governors also warns IPOB’S directive to its members to attack, a decision the governor’s forum believe will not solve the problems of their agitation for Biafra.
