Rockcity 101.9 FM holds special prayer session with religious programmes sponsors

Boot Communications Limited, operators of Ogun State’s first private radio station, Rockcity 101.9 FM, Abeokuta, have held a special get-together  forum with its religious programmes sponsors, to pray for the nation, Ogun State and the station.

The prayer session at the Radio House in Asero Estate, Abeokuta, was attended by notable clerics including, Pastor Adeoye who represented Apostle Lawrence Achudume of the Victory Life Bible Church and Professor Olusola Oyewole, General Overseer of the Divine Height Bible Church, who asked for divine intervention for the federal government to overcome the growing insecurity and economic challenges in the country.

Also Reverend David Onanuga of the Christ Dominion Network Ministry and Ogun State former permanent secretary, Alhaji Kunle Adegbite offered prayers in Christianity and Islamic ways for the state to regain its lost glory in various sectors of life.

They also prayed for God special grace for Governor Ibikunle Amosun to complete various development projects started by his administration and for the state continuous economic growth.

Special prayers were offered by Pastor Olatoye Daniel and Evangelist Elijah Adekonye, both of the Coming King Ministry for Rockcity 101.9 FM to sustain its leading position in Nigeria’s broadcast industry, and strength to accomplish new vision of moving to the next level.

Rockcity FM Chief Executive Officer, Doctor Niran Malaolu responding to issues raised during the event, asked them to always adhere strictly to National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) regulations on religious broadcast.

Malaolu said the radio station will not compromise its ethical standard while assuring the religious programme sponsors of better service delivery in the New Year, in terms of reach and live streaming.

Some of the religious programme sponsors lauded the radio stations for the initiative, describing it as an eye opener to how to improve relationship with the station and what is expected from the broadcast regulators while calling for more of such meetings.
