Making the call while reacting to a question posed on a Rockcity 101.9 FM Programme: “Quick Take”: “do you support the trial of corruption cases in the Public”?
Thirty-five out of the forty-eight listeners representing 79% of the callers who responded to the question through phone calls, short message and twitter, supported the open trial of corruption cases with “Yes”
Only ten of the listeners representing 21% of the callers opposed the trial of corruption cases in the public.
Most of the listeners who supported the open trial, said that would serve as deterrent to other corrupt public officers and return the sanity to public offices.
Some of those who opposed the trial of the corruption cases in the public said those accused remain innocent until proven otherwise, therefore open trial will amount to media persecution.
