The leadership of the Senate and House of Representatives are to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari this week, on the disputed 2016 budget bill, to resolve their difference over it.
Already, house of reps says it has identified areas of differences with the presidency on the budget details. The house’s spokesman, Abdurazak Namdas, who made this known to newsmen in Abuja, said a letter has been received from the presidency, listing the grey areas in the passed budget bills.
He said the senate and house of reps leaderships had met over the letter, in order to harmonize their position on the disputed bill, ahead of their meeting with Buhari. The Speaker of House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara, had earlier met with the president on the issue
