Polls: Emir Pleads For Calm In Kano

As political tension mounts in Kano metropolis, the emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, has pleaded with residents to allow the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) to conclude the Governorship Poll in the State.

The traditional ruler, speaking at a news conference in his palace, pleads for calm to reign in the city.

He explains that only INEC is empowered by the Constitution to conduct Polls and announces their results.

INEC, the Emir pleads should be allowed to complete the Governorship Poll, and announce the winner.
