Armed policemen have taken over the secretariat of Imo State chapter of APC in Owerri, the state capital.
The take-over, is a follow-up to the crisis rocking the conduct of party congresses in the state, which culminated into setting the secretariat on fire last Friday.
The armed policemen prevented people from entering the secretariat complex.

Governor Rochas Okorocha and the party national working committee have been at loggerheads over the conduct of congress in the state.
The governor accused the national working committee of interfering in the congress, while the committee warns him against dragging it into the state party crisis.
Last weekend, policemen arrested some persons in a hotel in Abuja, with some of the APC congress material stolen during the disputed ward congress.
