Police special forces deployed to Southern Kaduna

Torture: IGP warns SARS Operatives

Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered the deployment of special forces to track down the armed herdsmen who renewed attacks on communities in Southern Kaduna.

Idris also directed the police air unit to conduct aerial surveillance to monitor the movement of the bandits attacking remote farms settlements in the area.

More than 20 persons have been killed by the invading herdsmen since they launched fresh attacks in Southern Kaduna last Sunday.

The police chief said the deployed special forces will deal decisively with any persons or groups of people fanning embers of disunity in the area.

Already, commander of the army first division’s guard brigade, and the state police commissioner had relocated their base to Southern Kaduna, following the renewed attacks.
