Several people have been killed by armed bandits in renewed attacks by gunmen on communities in Benue State.
Police say that 10 of the bodies of those killed in Thursday attacks were recovered bushes around Tse-Audu and Enger villages in the Gwer local government areas.
Spokesman of the state police command, Moses Yamu, said the bodies were recovered by mobile policemen deployed to Naka, the headquarters of Gwer local government area.
The mobile police team, according to him, also encountered gunmen in the axis during patrol.
Also, there were reports of renewed attacks by killer herdsmen on Ikyom, Agasha, Semaka, Asom, Babarunwa, and Unenger in the past days.
