Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has been implicated in the April 15 bloody bank robbery in Offa, Kwara state, in which bandits killed nine policemen and 33 civilians.
Force headquarters, has invited him over his alleged link to the some of the suspects arrested over the attacks, now in police custody.
The Senate President is asked to report to the force intelligence response team, in Abuja.
Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, announced the summoning of Saraki, at the force headquarters, Abuja, while parading 22 suspects arrested after the robbery.
According to him, five of the alleged leaders of the bank robbery gang, Ayode Akinibosun, Ibkunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, Salawudeen Azeez and Niyi Ogundiran levelled some allegations against saraki.
He alleged, the five suspects confessed that they are on the payroll of Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State, as political thugs, and that they sponsored them with firearms, money and operational vehicles.
