Police have begun investigations into the circumstances leading to the death of a 16 year old secondary school student in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, in a suspected money making ritual.
The student, identified as Fatai Raimi, was alleged to have died after the ritual he participated in along with two other students.
The state police commissioner, Abdul Majid Ali ordered an extensive investigation into the incident, following conflicting reports on the circumstances surrounding the death of the boy.
He said the investigations will extends to two other students who were said to be sick after the alleged ritual.

Meanwhile, spokesman of the command, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement said the state police commissioner has directed the case transferred from the Adatan police division to the department of criminal investigation and intelligence at the command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta,
The investigation is to be supervised by deputy commissioner of police in charge of department of criminal investigation and intelligence, Shina Olukolu, and submit his report within a week.
