Police couple, 2 others killed in fire outbreak in Adamawa

Police inspector, his wife who is a police sergeant, and their daughter have been burnt to death in a fire outbreak that gutted a police barracks, in Adamawa State.

A police constable living with them also died in the fire at Karewa Police Barrack in Yola, the state capital.

Police spokesman, Othman Abubakar, said the incident occurred at 1 am on Wednesday.

“Inspector Bobbo, his wife Sgt. Grace, their daughter and a newly recruited constable who is a relation that is squatting with them, were all killed in the unfortunate incident,” Abubakar said.

The state deputy governor, Martin Babale, has paid a condolence visit to the barracks.
