Police Arrest Six For Disrupting Buhari Rally In Abeokuta

Police in Ogun state has arrested six persons in connection with the disruption of the February 17 APC presidential campaign rally in Abeokuta.

The suspects, include Olaoye Tunde, Bashiru Ali, Ayoola Muyiwa, Yakubu Wahab, Opeyemi Omiyefa, and Akeem Biliaminu.

During the rally suspected hoodlums threw objects at the campaign podium where President Buhari, vice president Yemi Osinbajo, and other top APC leaders, including national chairman, some APC state governors were seated.

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, says the suspects who participated in the incident will be charged to court.

He warns troublemakers to keep off Ogun state as they will be decisively dealt with, while asking major political stakeholders in the state to play politics, according to the stipulated guidelines.
