A faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) organizing the ongoing strike against the new petrol price ,says it awaiting fresh invitation from the presidency to join the dialogue over the issue.
The faction’s President, Ayuba Waba, however, said the strike will continue.
He said his faction was not worried that it is alone in the anti-new petrol price strike.
Wabba, addressing newsmen after a meeting of the two NLC factions with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, in Abuja, rejected report that their members walked out of the last week’s meeting between labour leaders and the presidency.
The NLC said his NLC faction has made its point despite the outcome of the strike
The presidency is already in talks with other labour unions on the template for pricing petrol, the palliatives for the new petrol price and the review of the minimum wage.Please subscribe to our newsletter
