PDP Wins Sokoto, Benue Gov Polls, APC Wins Kano And Plateau

PDP has been declared the winners in the Governorship Polls in Sokoto and Benue States, at the conclusion of the re-run polls on Saturday.

The winners are Governor Aminu Tambuwal, who retains his seat as Sokoto State Governor, and his Benue State counterpart, Governor Samuel Ortom.

Ortom of Benue State scored 434,473 votes to beat his closest rival, Emmanuel Jime of APC, who collected 345,155 votes.

Tambuwal also collected 512 thousand and two votes, against his main challenger, Ahmad Aliyu of APC, who obtained 511,660 votes.

Also, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State also retained his seat on the platform of APC.

Lalong scored 595,582 votes to defeat his closest rival, Retired General Jeremiah Useni of PDP, who got 546,813 votes.

In Kano State, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of APC also retained his seat by scoring one million, 33 thousand and 695 votes.

His main rival, Abba Yusuf of PDP was credited with one million, 24 thousand and 713 votes.
