Governor Abiola Ajimobi has announced that the Oyo state government is still awaiting its share of the excess deduction from the Paris and London clubs loans.
Ajimobi said Oyo state is one of the six states excluded from sharing in the excess deduction fund.
The governor speaking in Ibadan at the 2016 annual inter-religious service, faulted the Presidency for assuming that Oyo state collected its own share of the excess deduction fund in 2008.
He assured the state civil servants that fund if received, 50 per cent of it will be used by the state government to pay the arrears of salaries, pensions and other entitlements.
Ajimobi stated that the state needs to work harder in the New Year to generate more revenue to survive as the existing internally generated revenue of N1.5 billion monthly is inadequate to run the state.
