Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State has raised an alarm over the rising cases of kidnapping, armed banditry and armed robbery in the State.
The Governor says the growing rate of criminality in part of the State is giving him sleepless nights.
Oyetola expresses the concern during a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai at the Army Headquarters in Abuja.
The Governor says the State is under a siege by kidnappers and armed robbers.
He asks for more assistance from the Army in securing the State from the menace in form of expanded joint patrol by security forces.
Kidnappers and armed robbers have been prowling major roads in the State, including the Ibadan-Ife, Osogbo-Akure and Osogbo to Ilesha.
