Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has requested the National Assembly to approve his request to access $1.5 billion loans from France, Islamic Development Bank and World Bank, for infrastructural projects in 12 states.
The loan request, sent to the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, is part of the 2016 to 2018 external borrowing plan.
Under the loan, Ogun and Kaduna states will each access $350 million for their state policy operation from the World Bank.
Others like Ebonyi, will get $70 million, for Ebonyi Ring Road project, Abia State ($100 million for rural access and mobility project) to be provided by the Africa Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank.
Others to benefit from the loan are Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Kano, Enugu, Ondo and Plateau states.
