An expanded meeting of the National Economic Council has been held in Abuja.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over the meeting, which had state governors in attendance, at the presidential villa.
Osinbajo, addressing the meeting, accuses the Goodluck Jonathan administration of failing to transform Nigerian economy, despite the huge oil revenue at its disposal.
He assured that the Buhari’s economic recovery Programme will change Nigeria.
Governors in attendance at the meeting, includes those of Ogun, Jigawa, Ebonyi, Ondo, Plateau, Osun, Kano, Benue, Gombe, Bauchi, Kogi and Edo states.
Others are Kwara, Imo, Kaduna and Akwa Ibom states, while Lagos, Oyo, Nasarawa, Kebbi and Rivers states sent their deputy governors.
Also in attendance are the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Lamido Sanusi, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Obi Emeka; and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.Please subscribe to our newsletter
