Okonwa Says Rising Crime Nationwide Becoming Worrisome

Governor Ifeanyi Okonwa of Delta State says he is worried over the growing rate of crimes nationwide.

He expresses concern over the rise in kidnapping, ritual killing, advance fee fraud, armed robbery and occultism in churches.

The Governor laments on the development at the fifteenth ‘Sinod of Asaba Diocese of Anglican Communion’ at Saint Paul Anglican Church at Ubulu Okiti.

He blames the worrisome development on the mentality of get-rich-quick among the youths which has fueled the syndrome of inordinate quest for wealth.

The Governor says Nigeria needs more leaders at all levels who are God fearing and think more of the people than themselves.
