A commercial motorcyclists union official who allegedly killed a bricklayer, while forcing him to obtain a daily ticket in Abeokuta, is now in Police net.
The ticket official, Saidi Bamgboye allegedly punched the bricklayer, Raji Ibrahim to death at Iyana mortuary junction on Wednesday, while compelling him to obtain the daily commercial motorcyclists ticket.
The bricklayer who was riding a motorcycle, had told the ticket official that he will not obtain the ticket, because he was not a commercial motorcyclist.
Spokesman of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, speaking on a Rockcity FM Programme: ’Daybreak show’ said the interrogation of the ticket officials is underway, preparatory to his arraignment in court.
He said that the police had prevented the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba, Abeokuta from releasing the corpse of the bricklayer to his relatives, because an autopsy will still be conducted on the body.
The autopsy, according to him, will determine the circumstances of the death of the bricklayer.
