A commercial motorcycle rider has been killed by his passenger at Orile Ilugun, near Odeda, in the process of robbing him of his motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as Oni Oluwajuwon, was killed last Thursday, at Iyana Efon village, by a 20 year old suspect, Tobi Kodaolu.
The suspected killer was joined by 16 years old, Kehinde Kodaolu and 18 year old Hammed Babalola, to commit the act.
Kodaolu during interrogation in police custody, allegedly confessed, that he asked the late motorcyclist to take him to kila village along Abeokuta-Ibadan road, only for him to stop him near a bush.
Kodaolu, who was among the suspects paraded by the state police commissioner, Ahmed Ilyasu before newsmen in Abeokuta, said he killed his victim in an attempt to disposes him of his motorcycle.
The police commissioner says the suspect after he allegedly killed the motorcyclist dumped his body inside the bush, and he took the motorcycle away.
Iliyasu, asked the commercial motorcycle riders in the state to avoid carrying two or more passengers at odd hours, especially in bushy areas, in order to end such an incident.
