Ogun Tribunal Yet To Receive Petitions On February Polls

Ogun State Election Petition Tribunal is yet to receive any petitions from aggrieved candidates and political parties on the conduct of the February 23 National Assembly Polls in the State.

Candidates and political parties have up till Monday or Tuesday, next week, to file petitions to challenge the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

But Secretary of the Tribunal, Nyior Henry Sekulla speaking with Rockcityfm news on Thursday, says that none of the candidates or the political parties who contested the polls has filed in petition to challenge the declared results.

A total of sixty one candidates contested the three Senatorial seats in the State.

Also, 161 candidates contested for nine Federal House of Representatives seats allocated to the State.
