Ogun State government plans to spend N305 billion, for its services in 2019.
The figure, is n38 million lower than the outgoing 2018 budget.
Budget Commissioner, Aderenle Adesina, announces the proposed 2019 budget figure at the 2019 treasury board meeting held at the Obas complex, Governor’s office, Abeokuta.
Giving the breakdown of the n305 billion expenditure, the commissioner says health is allocated n17 billion, agriculture (N20.9 billion), housing (N36 billion), and rural development (N52 billion).
The N66.9 billion vote for education is lower than N78.9 billion in the 2018 budget, while allocation to personnel cost is n35.9 billion against N35.5 billion in the outgoing budget.
Governor Ibikunle Amosun said the proposed N305 billion budget, will later be adjusted, to accommodate the proposed new national minimum wage.
He added that the proposed 2019 budget will be used, to complete the ongoing projects across the state.
