Ogun To Probe Customs Killing Of Three Students In Yewa :- Governor Dapo Abiodun has condemned the killing of three students by officers of nigerian customs service, while conveying seized smuggled vehicle through Ihunbo Community near Ipokia in Ogun State.
The vehicle which hit the students, also left other students injured in the accident.
Angry youths set fire on the vehicle, as customs officers fired gunshots to escape from a mob attack.
The governor who expresses shock over the incident, says the circumstances of the death of the three students, will be investigated to prevent a re-occurrence and ensure the prosecution of the custom officers.
Abiodun in a statement by his chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin, says the killing of such students with promising future in such a manner is condemnable.
He calls for moderate engagement by customs patrols with smugglers in residential communities.
