The job creating platform of Ogun State government will be formally opened on Thursday.
The public presentation of the portal will hold at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, at 12 noon.
Lekan Olude, the founder of Jobberman, a leading human resources management firm in Africa, who is a special adviser to the governor, is to coordinate activities on the portal.
Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Kunle Somorin, in a statement, says that instant jobs will be offered to some lucky applicants at the event.
He says that the job portal recorded over 5,000 candidates when it was test-run for two hours last month.
The portal, according to Somorin, will register on a continuous basis, employed and unemployed youths with a view to providing them with jobs and training opportunities which are suitable for their trade and academic qualifications.
He explains that the data collected from applicants on the job portal will be matched with potential employments and training opportunities in the public and private sectors.
Somorin says that a local content bill which will compel investors to regard the state as their catchment area for jobs recruitment, will soon be sent to the State House of Assembly, for consideration and approval.
