Ogun State government has said talks are at an advanced stage with the Presidency over the proposed location of an Appeal Court and National Industrial Court in Abeokuta.
The two courts are expected to start operations from a temporary location at the Presidential Lodge Ibara, in Abeokuta.
Later, both courts are to move to permanent locations at the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate at Kobape, along Abeokuta-Sagamu interchange expressway, near Abeokuta.
Justice commissioner, Doctor Olumide Ayeni, who made this known in an interview with Rockcity FM, said that apart from Osun State, only Ogun State is yet to host an Appeal Court in the South West region.
Ayeni explained that over 84 per cent of the cases being handled by the Appeal Court in Ibadan originated from Ogun State.
