Ogun State House of Assembly has finalized plan to hold a public hearing on the state harmonized revenue and other charges bill, more than two months after passing through the second reading .
The bill seeking to harmonize revenue and other charges collected by the state government and local government agencies had suffered series of delay since it was first presented in 2016.
The bill was later amended by the state government, with the reviewed version forwarded to the assembly gone through second reading on May 22.
The House Speaker, Suraj Adekunbi during plenary last week, directed the relevant acting house committees handling bill to conclude plan this week for the hosting of the stakeholders and getting their contributions on the bill.
The organized private sector in the state, including manufacturers have been complaining over the delay in the passage of the bill, which is expected to end multiple taxation in the state.
