Ogun State allocation down to N900m – Amosun

Governor Ibikunle Amosun says Ogun state received only N900 million as its allocation from the Federation Account for the month of May.

Amosun who made this known at a lecture marking this year’s Ogun State Public Service Day, at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta, puts the monthly salaries of civil servants in the state at about N4.2 billion.

The Governor, however, said financing the state’s 20 local governments has been a major problem for his administration.

He said State Government will continue to rely on the collaborative effort of the civil service to move the state forward, as his administration does not have monopoly of knowledge.

Amosun said in a bid to make the state civil service a reference point in the country, his administration plans to build a staff development centre for civil servants
